I just finished stream-lining my vimrc.
Bram Moolenaar of Vim fame just gave a Google Video talk on effective text editing. The talk doesn't help much other than provide impetus to review the best of vim tips and to look at how I use vim. Basically, the talk (summary) consists of the advice: look for inefficiencies, figure out a quicker way, make the solution a habit. This applies to everything we do, not just vim.
When I'm done remucking with my vimrc, I'll post it.
